BIOGRAPHY

Janeice Silberman

I am a contemporary painter.  Having trained as both an artist and a designer, my works include LANDSCAPES of both a realistic and abstracted nature.  ABSTRACTS move into  experimental directions of pattern, texture and color.   ANIMALS are from the traditional and sporting art traditions.

 Overall, my work is inspired by a love of open space and country life.   A native of Iowa,  I have a BA from the University of Iowa.

While living in New York City and working as a design editor for 10 years,  I continued my studies at the Art Students League and Parsons the New School of Design.  After moving to Chester County, Pennsylvania, I have devoted myself to painting and periodic consultation endeavors.  I have continued my studies with several artists from the Brandywine Valley tradition and with artists from the PAFA.  I reside in beautiful Chester County Pennsylvania.
